Abstract : The third colloquium of the network has as topic: “For an European space of production and circulation of cultural and scientific products”. All of the participants are to join in sessions in the plenum and workshops and to take stock of the collective work done in the three precedent years. The goal is to draw a conclusion from the scientific analyses subsequent to the body of earlier exchanges which have taken place between the members of the network. The resultant state of knowledge of comparative social history of European social sciences should allow the identification of the political, economical and social conditions which favors or impede a free circulation of scientific and cultural goods and also render an account over the contextual conditions, institutions and practices which may have contributed to a progress in the international exchanges in European social sciences. At the same time it is matter of evaluating the contributions of this overture on a European research space in social sciences in terms of scientific progress and to bring forward concrete suggestions for a European policy of support for research in social sciences This in order to ensure the suitability of European institutions to bring an active contribution to the construction of a scientific culture that is strictly European. For this occasion the members of the network are to define and present the forms of their intended collaboration and realize common projects through the ways of research that have proved to be promising during the exchanges. Another goal is the extension of the activity, organized by the network, of summer universities as also to make this collective enterprise endure on the base of a European Master program which still has to be developed.
